Could someone please explain what Marilyn Manson meant when he said:
Kids who come to my concerts are worshipping at the altar of Satan
Bring up your kids properly or I will
or, something along those lines……

I think what this translates as is
'I'll say something 'contraversial' and 'scary' so that kids who want to 'rebel' against their parents will want to buy my music'

My take on it is this…..
Parents and Pastors are telling kids that Manson's music is Satan's music….
So, kids are going to his concerts with pre-conceived notions in their heads, all dressed up all emo like…. not really getting the music and simply going there to rebel against thier parents and indeed, 'worship at the altar of satan' like they have been told to….. (by their parent etc)….

I still remember being in high school and hearing all this satanic thing around him. I've been a fan of his music for many years, regardless of other ppls opinion. i wish ppl would stop criticizing what they dont understand

M.M. forces ppl to see beyond what is written and tries to make them think for themselves. If you pay attention to the lyrics you'll see that he plays with words and writes in metaphors. Sometimes ppl just overthink and media loves scandals. This could have a lot of meanings, or maybe it's just his provocative way of saying what ppl want (and yet don't want) him to say. M.M. is not satanic (at least not the way most perceive, since Satanism has nothing to do with the devil). Some years ago when he was having a rough time in his personal life he tried to explain some of this things but to no sucess. He build his career "based" on shock and the more ppl talk about it (good or bad) it spikes their curiosity… so he wins.

It's a good song! After the really hard time he had in the last few years on a personal level, I think with the new record M.M. tried to strip himself from all of that and start from the begining focusing on creating art along-side with the music, but some things will be harder to let go off. He seems more focused on sending mix-signs and saying double-meaning words in the songs. I like how he can make a shocking video and yet "talk" about something so personal. Can't wait to listen to the other songs :)
